Jewellery & Watch Care Guide
Caring for Your Fine Jewellery
Fine jewellery is made to last a lifetime — and with the right care, it will. Here is everything you need to know about keeping your Maison Lvie pieces looking their very best.
Gold & Gold-Plated Pieces
Store gold pieces separately to avoid scratching. Remove before swimming, bathing, or applying perfume and lotions. Wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth after each wear. For a deeper clean, use warm water with a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
Sterling Silver
Silver naturally tarnishes when exposed to air and moisture. Store in an airtight pouch or box when not in use. Polish with a silver cloth or use a soft brush with mild soap and warm water. Avoid chlorine, bleach, and harsh chemicals.
Pearl Jewellery
Pearls are delicate — put them on last and take them off first. Avoid contact with perfume, hairspray, and cosmetics, as these degrade the nacre over time. Wipe gently with a damp cloth after wearing. Store flat, away from harder pieces that could scratch the surface.
Luxury Watches
Have your timepiece serviced by a qualified watchmaker every 3–5 years. Avoid strong magnetic fields, extreme temperatures, and direct impacts. Water-resistant watches should have their seals checked annually if regularly worn in water. Wind mechanical watches gently at the same time each day.
General Storage
Always store pieces individually in soft pouches or the original Maison Lvie box. Keep away from humidity and direct sunlight. A lined jewellery box with separate compartments is ideal for preventing tangles and surface damage.
